Eva Sandelgard

Eva Sandelgard is the founder and director of Le Salon Chamonix. Eva is from Sweden. She spent the first eleven years of her hairdressing career working in a top salon in Stockholm. She then decided to set off to New York for a new challenge to better herself as a top hair stylist.

On the way Eva thought a short holiday in Chamonix would be a good idea, but this meant Eva only made it to New York twenty years later for a one week course! Eva is able to accommodate all of her interests in Chamonix, making it her ideal home where she has created her salon and started her family.

As for Eva’s sporting career, she made the first female snowboarded descent of Alaska's Mount McKinley (6194m), North America's highest peak. She has also been the world champion in freeride snowboarding three times.

Over the years Eva has been my inspiration to be a hairdresser and be the best that I can be. She is passionate about hair and loves to share her visions and ideas. For the past four years she has also been an ambassador for Schwarzkopf.
